my library is getting kindles

can't wait to try one. You will be able to borrow them like any other book. However if you break it or lose it , that might be a problem.

Let's hope Amazon has a better library plan than e-Pub's (as described in another thread). I'll be interested to see what our library does.

Wow, thats pretty awesome. I bought a kindle a few months ago and I LOVE It! I'm spending way less on books now, and I have so much more to read! And there is a TON of great free reads available on a lot of self publishing webpages. I think eBook readers are going to make it a lot easier for newer authors to break into the market and get their stuff out and read.

I can't see Seattle doing this however... I've seen how people treat the regular books. I don't think any kindles would come back in working order....
