Fidgiegirl, or whoever else might be able to answer this, I saw a thread that was talking about glasses that had nice tops for them an could be used for storage or for drinking. I loved the idea but could find anything that was a Ball jar.

Hmmm, I am not remembering this thread. Do you mean you do NOT want a Ball jar or that you DO want one?

Miss Minimalist had a nice blog post (http://www.missminimalist.com/2011/03/100-possessions-glass-tumblers/) on this, too.

Not a Ball Jar (we have a couple of those) but it was an equally durable glass with a lid (though not air tight as I recall). BTW, which part of ST. Paul do you live in? I grew up in Mac-Groveland.

Ooh, I am in Mac-Groveland! I love it! We are thinking of moving and whenever we look at anything in Merriam or Crocus we keep thinking back to lovely Mac-Groveland. Are you still in Minnesota?

Wish I could help you with the drinking glass deal! Must have been someone else.

Nay, I moved to Colorado but all my family still lives there. You aren't on or near Goodrich and Snelling are you? I have many a memory of the Macalester College crowd.

Near. Definitely near. :) Mac kids are nice kids to share a neighborhood with.

I grew up at 1498 Goodrich, a big, beautiful, yellow stucco house. Many of my old neighbors still live there. Such a great street.
