My little photography thread

I like taking pictures. It's a fun creative outlet for me... but lately I've just not been feeling the mood at all (lately being 3+ years now). I'm going to challenge myself to take a photo a week to share here. It'll be a good reason to improve on my macro shooting and practice with those veggies in the garden.

Enough rambling, here are a few old shots to get started:

Now I just need to get out in the garden and see if I can't brush off those ol' skills!

These are great, and show such diversity! I think the bee one is my favorite but that fire one is dramatic.

awesome pics! I love photography myself. Being a city girl now, I find less to take pictures of (nature and sunset/sunrises being my favorite)...Going to try to work with what I have by taking some pics of the sunrise in the city! A different view, so to speak.

Thanks all! I'm going to go out this weekend and see what wants to be photographed in the garden. Native bees are one of my favorite garden visitors and both they and the honey bees are making their rounds :)

This is one of my favorites also. For a few reasons actually. I love the abstract feeling of it and capturing something as big as the grand canyon in a very flat, 2-dimensional way. Plus, it was taken when I first really started getting into photography and it actually turned out the way I had planned... which is very rare, even now ;)
