I planted Roma pole beans about 6 weeks ago. They are looking healthy and are about 7-8' tall..........but no sign of blossoms. I wonder what's up?

Give them a few more days and you should see blossoms. You might also try a little 10-20-10 to boost the bloom.

In our case our beans (exception pintos) were doomed with the 20+ days of 100 degree heat - they just will not set many blooms although they look vibrant, etc.

BTW - love Romas - my grandma used to plant them in between the corn stalks when I was a kid - good eating!!

Good Luck!

Thanks Zigzagman.
We're expecting mid-upper 90s all week........so I imagine they'll put off blooming even longer. It might be enough time to grow the beans if the season is long.
This is my first year for Roma poles. We always loved the Roma bush. Really good!
