I relaized lately that every one I know suffers from lower back pain. I used to also, but managed to get rid of it. One of the treatments I did was this excellent stretch that I practiced daily, maybe it will help someone here too:

Excellent moves. But remember that these guys are experts with lots of flexibility. Everyone needs to find their own range of motion.

I do gentle yoga for my lower back.

Thank you for this! I'm surprised this never occurred to me. This is similar to stretching for relief of shin splints. I've had problems with shin splints since middle school, and I learned then that it's actually caused by tightness in the calves, not a problem with the shin muscle. So you stretch the calf to relieve the pulling and strain in the muscle in front.
