I have one in my garage that i have not donated to charity thinking there has got to be a use for it and for about 5-10 years it has sat empty in our garage!

Should I donate it or is there a super nice way to use it that I have not thought of?

We have the large garbage can that is supplied by the trash service so this is just an extra one.

Thanks!

Craigslist it for free. Someone will be super happy to have it. I would think that some donation places might not want it because of size or maybe thinking if it was used for garbage that it might not be clean, even if you cleaned it.

If you want to keep it, a good use for it would be to hold any emergency gear like for a tornado or hurricane. I'm thinking lantern, water jugs, first aid kit, stuff like that. Keep it dry and easily accessible for an emergency.

We use one in the garage to store the "on deck" bag of dog food, to keep it critter free. Also, our garage floods every winter, so garbage cans are handy for keeping things dry.

We have one for water in case of power failure. Not to drink but flush.
