Nice article. I found the Fab Lab idea interesting. There are two in the metro area of Minneapolis/St. Paul that I know of, both within a mile of each other at Century College and Mahtomedi High School!

Also found the coworking idea really interesting.

It comes down to buidling community of like-minded people but there seems to be a need for the initiator and the catalyst to bring the idea to fruition. Good ideas though.
