Book title

Someone recommended an author a few years ago and I cannot remember her name. I read one of her books and would like to read some more.

I believe she grew up Protestant, but converted to Catholicism and became an oblate.

The book I read was a collection of essays, and one of the essays was about Maria Goretti.

The author was not Paula Huston.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

That essay might have been in "Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith." I loved her books.

If she converted to Catholicism, that's news to me. Unless it happened after her husband's death.

Tradd - I think you are right. She grew up Protestant but became an oblate. I thought that meant you had to become Catholic, but as I am reading Amazing Grace, there is no indication she became Catholic.
