I received an email announcement to join our city's chapter of vtvnetwork.org. It is a concept that helps older people stay in their homes and communities longer by providing volunteer services, cultural outings and get-togethers, etc. I was excited to join until I saw the annual dues of almost $700. I guess this might be appropriate when one is really housebound but still seems like it would exclude a lot of seniors from being able to join due to the cost. Anyone belong to this? Are the costs worth it?
