I have been watching the Alfred Hitchcock Presents shows on TV and during his introductions at the beginning of each story, HE ALWAYS MAKES FUN OF THE COMMERCIALS! I wonder if he could get away with doing that today.
In one episode, he was in a bed dreaming. He woke up and said that, like all enjoyment, he must now pay for his dreams by presenting the next few minutes of commercials and after which he would be back. I mean, that is BIG subversion!
