what can I do about it? The rice is a bit burnt on the bottom, but it doesn't affect the rest of the rice. Any thoughts?

I suggest turning off the cooker 10 minutes (or so) prior to the rice being done. The remaining heat/moisture/water in the cooker will finish cooking the rice to it's desired texture and prevent any sticking. Although I don't have a rice cooker I never cook rice (stovetop method) until it's dry. Give it a try.

Does it burn and stick while cooking or on the keep warm setting? As soon as mine is done cooking, I unplug it so that this doesn't happen.

My DH had a rice cooker that was nearly impossible to clean. We got rid of it! I cook rice in a pot on the stove and it's perfectly simple.
