Hmm, I get to give the dharma talk next week and I am trying to make a decision about what to talk about. The 2 talks I have done before (and would re-write for updates) are
* the wisdom of going nowhere, loosely related to not being able to go on retreats but since so many people in our group are focused on retreats i would adapt a little. However no matter how many times we do go on retreat we always need to come home to where we started so we don't really leave, we go nowhere.
* the roots of right speech, we have been talking often about the stories we make up and attach to but have not directly tied that into any part of the 8 fold path like right speech,

Or something completely different, I have a week to focus on this, Others in the group have shared they like hearing about the process people go through and that is generally how I focus so that is good.

Can't really help you pick between those two topics but if you or anyone else is ever looking for dharma talks this is a great website:

Thank you, I will check that out. I know there are others who lead, and myself, who sometimes are hesitant to give our own talks. I look forward to reading it, thx

It works best if you know what teachers you like, otherwise it would be a lot of material to sift through.

I'll put in a plug for one of my personal favorites, Stephen Batchelor, but there is a wide range of views in there.

I have been listening to some of Jack Kornfield's talks on dharmaseed and have been enjoying them.
