I just experienced a trivia question, "How many inches must a cranberry bounce before being harvested and sold". I googled and found articles about stuff like a sort of staircase-like machine that separates the soft or spoiled cranberries out, and the good ones make it all the way down the stairs. Nothing about inches of bouncing. I also can't picture how you bounce a cranberry without harvesting it first, nor how any modern agribusiness has people out in the bog bouncing each berry. Is this just one of those stupid internet misconceptions or is my ignorance of cranberry farming complete?
