The Simple Living Forums have been instrumental in putting me on the adventurous path my husband and I are on now. I joined in the late 90s and learned so much here! Finally I returned in January 2011 to give back what I can to this amazing community.
When our dog Jerry was diagnosed with bone cancer in late 2006, we quickly made plans that changed our lives forever. By June, 2007 we had sold our business, home and nearly everything we owned. We hit the road in an RV to explore the country leaving the corporate world behind – and never looked back.
Today, five years since we embarked on our "one year sabbatical" we live and work from the road most of the year as a freelance writer, graphic designer and marketing executives for a health and wellness company. We occasionally return to our Colorado mountain property we call "Jerry's Acres" but we love living on the road so much we're hardly there!
