What kind of glue to fix a broken ceramic pot?

I need to glue on a broken piece of a pot that I threw many years ago (on a potter's wheel.......not across the room). haha
I've read various opinions from using a special adhesive to just plain glue. Any experience with this?

It is toxic and vaporous. For some it can cause headaches, blurred vision dizziness, breathing issues among other things. If you are sensitive to airborne and repairing more than one broken piece you might want a filter air mask or make sure you are in a well ventilated area. I used it quite a bit in my fused glass and am pretty sensitive to chemicals so make sure I had windows open.

Thanks Float On. I bought a tube today, and got a little nervous about all the warnings on it. I hope I don't die. haha
Made me think maybe I should try Elmer's first.

I use E6000 and it great for so many things. For ceramic I would use gorilla glue gel ... Can't remember the exact name, it's like crazy glue but gives you a little time to get things in place, and you can also easily reopen the bottle and use again and again (which was not possible with crazy glue, for me.)

In either case, probably best to wear gloves.
