A tour de force.
The idea that some man would define my life was poison to me, thus my never-married status.
I like men--a lot--but on my own terms.
Mine was a BankAmericard too, and I have no idea what I used it for--schoolbooks, maybe.
I did like Earth shoes, though I never had any.
Oddly, I don't remember having any trouble qualifying for a credit card, circa 1967 or so.
When I bought my first place, the loan officer showed me off to his staff--women seeking mortgages (or maybe getting them) was such a novel idea at the time.
I devoutly hope unions make a comeback. They've never left more progressive countries.
Just what I was thinking. Similar to not being able to see police brutality against minorities when you aren't one.
"Of course jobs provide money, there is that."
That was certainly the salient point for me. Really, the only point.
My mother did the housewifey things well that she liked to do (decorate,...
For the most part, women in my extended family didn't work outside of the home. One of my aunts taught in a one-room schoolhouse until she had children, but that was about it. And as much as I don't...

I'm just starting Hand to Mouth, Living in Bootstrap America, by Linda Tirado. It promises to be depressing, but I have a trove of cozy mysteries featuring talking cats that I can wash it down with....
Yes--my unprofessional opinion is that your son needs to learn to live independently or to agree to some kind of group living situation. I'm with those who counsel you to keep pushing for help....
This is what you're up against, apparently. These jerks couldn't even manage a couple of symbolic minutes:

I wonder how many other problems will be found to have been ignored or made worse by the last administration, as vaccine distribution was. With government bureaus decimated, I imagine quite a few....
I miss thrift stores...
I wonder about trolls, knee deep on social media and mostly obvious. They must get paid, but by whom? Russia, I know, but lots of them seem to live elsewhere.
Is anyone's mind changed after reading...
Gotta hand it to you, you're absolutely relentless.
Chicken massaman (Thai) curry.
Save it!

The last time i was tested for it--it might have been 25 years ago, but maybe longer--mine was 175, which I would say is a bit too low. Cholesterol numbers are a non-starter for me, and apparently,...
