I'm always pleasantly surprised by how quickly water comes to temperature--even in my older kettle. You can get kettles that maintain water temperature for at least a couple of hours, IIRC.
Maybe he was talking about Kellyanne Conway's "alternative facts." ;)
If that's the biggest gaffe he makes, I'd say he's doing fine. Especially considering the competition, whose verbal blunders...
If I bought a house without a fenced yard, I wouldn't waste any time getting a fence built. Some people really value their privacy. I wouldn't take it personally.
It is astonishing--that people can believe this stuff in time in history. But if they do, that's their business until they make it ours. I'm not at all convinced she can, ultimately, act on her own.
I'm not sure what "good things" you're referring to? Religious holidays? Personally, I think religion should be a private matter, practiced on the margins, and not involved in the slightest with the...
Unless you're a peace officer, unless you're a soldier, unless a kid with Skittles throws a punch at you when you accost him, etc. etc.
You don't need religion to know right from wrong.
Or maybe not. Living in a theocracy, no matter how benign it may seem, holds no appeal for me.
I'm hoping she'll hew to the "strict interpretation" thing, and not to the "my husband tells me what to think, as my cult leader prescribes" thing. You're right though--you can't always tell how...
I don't answer because I feel guilty for lying to you. Keep up the thankless work, bro!
One of the Catholics I referenced (I forget who) is attending an Episcopal church; I guess he's the diversity, though I'm sure the Catholic Church still claims him.
Personally, I'd like to see more variety on the court. I don't know how we ended up with six Catholics and three Jews--talk about lack of diversity.
This is an interesting development--the Republican party is installing fake collection boxes:

I always lie on random forms. Then I can't remember what date I made up. I think Facebook thinks my birthday's in April.
A law suit was brought and won, in that case. Republicans were held in check until SCOTUS overturned the Voting Rights Act, so now they have free rein again to do whatever they can to suppress the...
Showing up with weapons, asking voters for ID, etc. Voter intimidation has a history, especially in precincts where there are many black/POC voters. There was a case in New Jersey where Republicans...
I would expect voter intimidation, personally. It's happened often enough before.
This time, though, I expect there will be people who will nip that kind of thing in the bud. At least I hope so.
I'm sure some of his faithful will show up as Trump has exhorted them to, and I hope they are photographed and subsequently ushered out by local authorities, as they likely won't be authorized poll...
In fairness, it's not like anyone could have planned for a mass contagion event. Or could they?
On the one hand, it is a craft commensurate with my skill level. On the other hand, I don't need a scarf. .
Interesting idea to create a visual record.
Something with ground beef and noodles, Italian-inspired. Maybe.
Your precinct will have only one listing for you, so it's mostly just a waste of paper--not a scandal.
Maybe your area has little experience with mail-in ballots? Thank goodness we have had plenty...
Periwinkle is one of the few blues I'm really drawn to. Smart to use lighter colors in an already dark space. You might want to add extra lighting, too.
I didn't see anything labeled pistachio, but I like that color family--chartreuse, celery, celedon. I liked Napery and Barcelona beige, but few of the other colors, featured. Maybe Juneberry--that's...
