I gave away two old metal file holders that we had been using in our old cupboard to hold pans and baking dishes. They are well built and will probably last forever, but we don't need them anymore....
Those look like great storage!
My husband loved that show and used to watch it all the time.
I did some work in the garden. I got a lot of emails from merchants who seemed to think I should celebrate Earth Day by buying stuff.
I hope your DH is doing better, Flowers.
Catherine: I love those old Arts & Crafts lamps. That's pretty neat that your grandson loves your lamp too!
I am awaiting one of the luminaires as we speak. I ordered it while there was a 20% off sale, which they do have occasionally. This one:

Art is definitely one of my gazingus pins, and I've been a bit spendy lately. The whole kitchen project seems to have put me in the mindset of "spare no expense to get every last detail perfect". ...

I gave away a chair via FB yesterday, and I have someone coming to pick up a book today.
Hoping for good news for you, TMS. I know how stressful it can be to wait for the results.
Enjoy your trip, Hana!

Yesterday we went to our local Batteries Plus store because we needed a light bulb that was somewhat unusual. When I was checking their website, I saw that they take fluorescent tubes for recycling,...
I would not want to live in an enclave of these dangerously irrational people, even if the house was free.
Happy: you can also write the balance on the card with a Sharpie. I saw someone else do this once, and I adopted the practice.
Nobody's Fool by Richard Russo is one of my very favorite books.
I have a FB friend (whose life is the epitome of a dumpster fire), who is having a very difficult time finding housing due at least in part to poor credit. My team at my corporate job handled...
That is indeed amusing, IL.
I paid as much attention to the OJ Simpson trial as I do to the British royal family. I don't think I watched a single minute of it.
My mom was an RN, but stopped working when I was born and was a SAHM for the duration. Most of my friends' moms did not work. My MIL worked part-time until her kids were older, and then she worked...
I'm with IL and Tradd on this one. I'm glad I live in the lush and civilized northeast. I would love to see the Grand Canyon some day, if only it weren't in Arizona, lol.
