I would think utility costs would be offset by not having the expense of gas and auto upkeep. Not to mention, one's time is valuable, and commute time adds up.
I've read that some employers provided laptops to those working at home from money they saved in office space rentals. Seems fair to me.
I worked remotely from my own computer, drinking my own coffee. As far as I know, that's normal.
Intrepid you! Who says you can't have fun during a pandemic!
I'm just starting Hand to Mouth, Living in Bootstrap America, by Linda Tirado. It promises to be depressing, but I have a trove of cozy mysteries featuring talking cats that I can wash it down with....

I generally don't keep fiction around, but I have bought a few of my childhood books for nostalgia's sake.
I like Stephen. Like many of us, he was clearly relieved and nearly giddy that Trump is safely out of office.

Somebody said his garb was true Vermont. If it was, I approve.
A friend remarked on this once, and I replied that none of my books were visible to most people that visited, being shelved in more private areas. Maybe visitors would consider me illiterate unless I...
And yet hundreds of thousands of people live happily in those cities. Housing prices have taken another leap lately.
I'm happy to live in a liberal stronghold, warts and all.
I saw headlines trumpeting something like "Antifa Smashes Windows in Portland, Seattle" which puzzled me until I saw the anarchist graffiti in another article. So Antifa (which doesn't really exist...
