Happy for no reason? Why not?
There is a beautiful wonderful movie from way back called The Milagro Beanfield War. In an early scene, an old guy nuzzled awake by his huge pig, rolls out of bed, rubs his face and says "Another day. Thank you" (or some such words- the sentiment is what I remember).
Sometimes I get a feeling of gratitude that seems almost religious, but I am an atheist so must temper my intuitions. Maybe if I had a huge pig....
