I had taken it on and off for years. Then I took it too many nights in a row I assume. Whew the nightmares I had. I have not really taken in a few years now because of that.
I wouldn't necessarily blame it on the melatonin. Sounds more like jet lag, the resulting exhaustion, and possibly hormone fluctuations were more the culprit here than the melatonin.
I have taken it for sleep issues but it had no affect.
