    Wetlands instead of industrial filtration

I thought this was pretty cool! It's a system to put in wetlands rather than a (more expensive) filtration system. I had heard of this sort of thing on a small scale through permaculture and among some preppers and stuff but not on a municipal scale. And in TX, which is less known for being progressive than some other areas of the country. Anyway, I thought it was interesting, esp since it's both "green" and less expensive, and possibly more indefinitely sustainable. Also, it not only helps the water system but birds and possibly other animals and plants as well. So good all around!
