What to watch when you are sick or feeling blue

I'm home really sick with allergies. My friend's 14 year granddaughter is feeling blue.

So I compiled the below list of website addresses on YouTube for Got Talent and X Factor teen and kid auditions to email to the girl.

These are wonderful GT and XF videos appropriate for kids.

Enjoy watching - I sure am!

That's great! Not my thing - when I was sick I really enjoyed watching BBC mysteries for free on Hulu.com - they have Inspector Morse, Kingdom, Doc Martin, Vera, etc. I don't usually watch tv, but it was a lifesaver when I felt too sick to pick up a book!

Oh yes, that one is a scream! But it's not funny if you can't picture the subject of their parody, will she know Michael Flatley?

I would add: Maru, anything Maru, Maru all the time. Just Google him to find one of his many YouTube videos, he's the funniet round faced chubby cat in the world!)

The rest of my choices are not appropriate for children.

I hate to cook and do crafty things but for some strange reason I like to watch cooking and crafting shows when I'm sick or just wanting to zone out on the boob tube. I think it's because I watch them on PBS so there are no commercials and the droning monotone voices (think Martha Steward here) lulls me off into gentle sleep.

For some reason, watching The Jeffersons comforted me when feeling down.

Oh, Maru! With his plush body and round face, he looks like a British shorthair. He's utterly adorable and mischievous.

    Who is Michael Flatley?

I have no idea who Michael Flatley is but I almost fall out of my chair laughing when I watch the Stavros Flatley YouTube BGT video.

I think Micheal Flatley is the lead dancer of River Dance/Lord of the Dance - sort of an Irish style of dancing. Was very popular awhile back. I could be wrong though.

Just watched the video and yep, that's an imitation of Micheal Flatley doing River Dance! So funny.
