Razz That sounds lovely. And it will be a lot of fun! I will bet this will be a Christmas that many of you will remember because it’s unique.
Yesterday was momentous: not only was it the Winter Solstice and the Great Conjunction, it was the day K. and I officially said our vows on our front porch and did a live-streamed Facebook wedding so our friends and family could participate! We got our marriage license at the Santa Fe County Clerk's Office (by appointment only) last Friday, and just decided to do a very simple, impromptu ceremony. Originally we were going to do it under the Chili Pepper Arch outside at the tavern, but too many townspeople wanted to come and we decided to cancel it because even being outside with masks on and trying to social distance; we sure as hell didn't want to potentially create a super-spreader event. So yesterday at 3pm a friend from down the road officiated it, I had my friend as Maid of Honor (and witness) and K had his friend as best man (and witness) and another tech-saavy friend set up her camera and computer and live-streamed it for us! It was truly wonderful, a small, quick, quirky intimate affair with costumes, masks, some seriousness and some humor. It was perfect in every way for my second marriage (been divorced for 27 years).
We will have a big party and show off our house someday after the pandemic is over, when it is safe to do so!
