Good grief that's a lot for a small appendage! I've broken several but have gotten away with just tape. If I remember right your break was pretty severe and behind the knuckle? I'm still paying $25 a month on a hospital stay 3 years ago and have no end in sight as well as another 16 mts of $50 a month for my son's stupid jump off a cliff into the lake over a year ago and DH just told me it'll be over $4000 for his receding gum procedure. This year's vacation for DW and me magically turned into oral surgery and crowns for both of us. We're starting the retirement countdown (two years plus), so let's get done the stuff we need to while we still have some (in the case of crowns and implants, not much) insurance coverage to do it... :-/
