Really beautiful, IL!

Here are mine this year - all we have are yellow ones, planted by the previous owner of the house.
Someday I will get around to planting some purple ones.

I keep meaning to ask you - what do you do with the iris leaves in the fall? Are they supposed to be trimmed or do you just leave them alone and get rid of the brown leaves in the spring?
Nice yellow iris!

Yesterday we went to the first Challenger Little League baseball game of the season. We've been going to watch our friend's child (now 24) with Hurler's Syndrome since 2010 I think. It is wonderful to watch these games. Kids of all abilities, different difficulties encouraged and being successful at hitting the ball and running! Look for one around you if you need a shot of joy.
How often do you divide them?
Used to get my starts from my 100 year old neighbor, when she passed and they sold the house, I was sad to see the kid of the purchaser rip them all out.
I have a pretty newish Iris called ‘Bashful Look’ that is a pretty deep pink, with bluish/lavender beard. Last year it won Best in Show at two different Iris shows with two panels of judges.
This year it won first runner up in the Iris show last weekend, with yet a different panel of judges. Here it is on the winner’s table this year and in another photo. It is pretty!

Very beautiful!
I am very relieved to say I finally did setting today that has been nagging me for months. It involved navigating a customs website that is notoriously non-user friendly. I got a pleasant surprise todsy that the website has been massively updated and the task I needed to do was done quickly and with much less pain than anticipated. I would think about this thing in the middle of the night. So glad it’s done!
