Also, check to see if medications have been tested for the correct population. Many cholesterol drugs have only been tested on men and their is no indication that they would work the same for women. Also, what percentage of people are actually helped by the drug. Is it worth the side effects to only have 1-2% success rate? Questions to ask the doc.
Today, a piece of mail arrived from a third party company that determined the echo stress test was not indicated in this case and therefore not recommended to the insurance co. This after being told by the doctor that all was covered. So very frustrating. I guess all DH can do at this point is lose the weight and pray.
