I think it's entirely possible, Cathy - I stick to gloves always now. It also keeps my hands from getting all torn up.

alright I bought some hand pump soap so I would stop washing my hands in the kitchen with dishwashing detergent (yea I know bar soap is better but it becomes a gloppy mess near the kitchen sink). Yes I was washing my hands with detergent, and I don't wear gloves when doing dishes either, it didn't bother but maybe it's secretly killing me . I may not have abs of steel, but I do have hands of steel I guess ...
Trees don't grow on money
I do that too. There isn't really room for 2 soap dispensers and strange as it is, I've never developed a reaction to Dawn. My skin is very sensitive- heck I even developed an allergic reaction to styrofoam. No Dr I've talked to has ever heard of an allergy to styrofoam.
Float On: My "Happy Place" is on my little kayak in the coves of Table Rock Lake.
I would apply a good hand cream several times a day so maybe you'll have fewer cracks in your skin. aquaphor is good and CVS has a generic
