Who is vegan here?

I find I save a lot of money for two reasons:

eating plant based is cheaper and
I don't/won't eat out anywhere near as much as I did before.

Are you vegan? Are you trying to be? Any thoughts and ideas appreciated.
One frugal tip about being plant based -

The pressure cooker is worth dragging out of the cupboard to prepare big batches of beans to freeze. I also use it to cook perfect brown rice. I hadn't really used it in years, but now it is paying its way. The only problem - I have developed a hankering for an instant pot - an electric pressure cooker.

I would highly recommend an Instant Pot. I've had three electronic pressure cookers, and it's by far the simplest and best of the lot. I adore mine.

oooh Jane you shouldn't have said that...... I was just reconciling to thinking it was a whimsical thing to have. Now I need one more than ever. I have my eye on the Instant Pot. I follow the Facebook page of Plant Fueled Trucker - a long distance driver who is cooking in his cab to lose weight and get healthy. It is an impressive mission.

I had also read an article about the vegan truck driver. He is really committed!

I don't actually have the Instant Pot, I just want one. The cookbooks I use are

1) Oh She Glows - worth every penny
2) Anything by Dreena Burton
3) Forks Over Knives (for really low fat vegan)

and online
