yea. When UltraliteAngler described dating a different person (or more) from personals every week for 2 years, I thought: that's probably what it takes. I admired the persistence (I guess it is a trait I get), quite impressive to keep at it that way, that much, for that long, but did think resigning oneself to (ok more positively phrased as accepting) that sort of persistence is probably necessary if one ever wanted to find someone.

That was my first thought too. Although I got engaged after 3 weeks-I didn't have to move. I don't think I would have.

But I've been delightfully married for 30+ years, so it does happen that you just KNOW pretty quickly.
