    Always a Sandernista.

Wow.. I am really emotional about seeing Bernie--seeing the roll call, seeing his brother speak, seeing Vermont present their votes in the roll call, and then seeing him end his illustrious campaign by moving to nominate Hillary.

I wish the kind of passion that he ignited in so many people could be business as usual in politics. I wish more politicians could commit to their career in public service with as much integrity as Bernie has. I wish that the young people ignited by Bernie do exactly as he has exhorted them to do and pick up the torch and run for office and make a difference in this broken world. I wish for him a return to a more private life in VT, and a return to being able to wander Burlington among the people he has served for so long.

Who are you inspired by? Anyone else who has actually walked the walk inspire you to do more, or inspire you to follow your own passion? I'm so grateful for people who stand up and live their lives courageously fighting for what they believe in.

Oh, well. I still have my Bernie for President 2016 t-shirt, and a little bit more hope for the future.

I admire Bernie for standing for something he believes in and for not holding his finger to the wind to see which way it blows, for maintaining his integrity while others around him are selling out to corporate interests, and mostly for being a mensch (and the polar opposite of Donald Trump)--we need more like him.

That's my question, seriously - where are the new up and coming Bernies?

We need to make and encourage them. Otherwise Bernie's efforts will be as irrelevant as Jill Stein and Gary Johnson's.

I think they broke the mold somewhere around 1973.

There are always 'Bernies' coming up. You just have to be able to recognize them when you see them. Remember, before this election so many had never heard of him and he has been in politics for some 25 years.

well it's harder for anyone who isn't in it for the money to up and come in a money drenched system that is DC at present. I mean you have the most expensive Senate ever (cost of their campaigns) with nearly all limits off and the people that succeed in that system will be people playing the money game, and not remotely in it for public service.

However Bernie himself tried not to fund his campaign that way and is trying to build organizations that will maybe make it unnecessary. Perhaps in the best possible case scenario there will be a lag though, because the current crop may be sold out.

interesting - she looks to be to the left of Bernie. There's socialism and then there's Socialism.

but I agree with ApatheticNoMore that campaign finance reform is still a fundamental issue for having any candidates that are not beholden to the business world's campaign donations.
