Hi! I'm curious whether anyone has switched from the standard American diet to one that's a healthy vegan or vegetarian one? Meaning no junk food like chips, no fried food.

Forks Over Knives and various books I've been reading have moved me in this direction. Been a couple of weeks. So far, I've dropped a couple of pounds and seem to be sleeping better.

Has not been difficult at all. Not hungry. Really enjoying my morning fresh fruit or veggie smoothy.

Being summer with its bounty of great fruits and vegetables makes this doable -- and delicious. Will be more limited in the winter but will seek out good winter recipes. More squash and potatoes I suppose.

What about you? Made any food/eating habit switches? Got any tips?
