I supported Rubio, would have happily settled for Cruz or Bush, and ultimately voted for Gary (What's Aleppo) Johnson.

That being said, I know and like people who voted for Trump, Clinton and Sanders. It would never have occurred to me that having such a narrow range of acquaintances that I didn't know a single Trump voter would be something to boast about. Nor have I encountered any of the ugly confrontations people keep claiming to see.

Trump strikes me as obnoxious and not terribly bright, but I have trouble viewing him as an existential threat to our democracy. Maybe that's why I have trouble working up a respectable lather of hatred and contempt for the people who voted for him.
