Back on Black Friday I went to see a movie at the theater. When I came out the lock on my bike had been severed and my Giant Sedona was long gone.
I walked home the four miles in the frigid temps.
Granted, I probably should have known better than to use one of those cord locks (though it was super thick). Apparently thieves can cut them easily. Lesson learned.
Anyway, I am buying a used bike this time, likely a ten year old Giant Sedona (or something like it) so that it does not look too shiny and attractive to thieves. Also, I am thinking that two stout U-Locks could prevent another theft.
Thoughts?
