I just watched this and loved it, too. So sweet and sad, but positive! But sad.

Here, I have to put in a plug for tv show Veep with Julia Louis Dreyfuss. It is hilarious! I watch it on dvds from Netflix. It has to be the smuttiest show on tv for language. The sexial quips come a mile a minute. But that's not the point of the show. The point is to show the self centered actions of politicians and their entourage.

Julia Louis Dreyfuss does a great job as the central character, but her supporting cast is phenomenal. Each one thoroughly inhabits his/her character. This show is an example of stellar writing, acting, and direction all coming together, and they have maintained this momentum for 5 seasons.

I also love Veep. Fast, furious and probably closer to the truth than we would guess.

I read the book. It was the same as described here. Netflix doesn't stream it though.

Finally rented La La Land. It was OK. I think I was expecting more; it would have been a decent movie without the singing/dancing; I found the musical numbers just OK. And I love musicals.

The use of Autotune just ruins any songs for me.
