"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it--every, every minute?" Emily Webb, Our Town
We have various perennials coming up and my magnolia bush's buds are swelling. Today it's in the 70s and tomorrow too........but late tomorrow it begins to drop into the lower 30's for the weekend. I've been referring to this kind of weather as the "Bi-polar Express". The weather is definitely bipolar. I'm glad at least we had single digits for awhile in January to freeze some of the bad bugs off, but I don't think we've had enough of it this year. Lots of people have loved this warm weather.......but I'm wondering what it means for the future.......
In the past, we feared March the most, since that's when we'd have really bad ice storms. I wouldn't mind not having them ever again......but I think winters are important for nature. Who knows........maybe we'll still get 2' of snow. Funny......after living here 35 years, we finally got a tractor with a snow plow on it. Maybe we'll get to use it next year?

*Yes, I know rain is good and we need it. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the dry winters where we had more sunshine then we get in the summer.
