No, this is a daytime event. No alcohol.

Daytime and alcohol don't have to be mutually exclusive.

I always made lemonade and iced tea for DD's music recital receptions. I wasn't that fancy, so I made them in store-bought purified water jugs, and just added the lemonade and ice tea to those. I also sweetened the tea a bit so I didn't have to mess with sugar on the side.

Well, that is true, but this is a garden club event in the late morning to afternoon, and driving is involved. They come round to visit various gardens.

what I would drink afterward might be limited to tea java (I usually make tea from bags, but I would not mind having extras of that around at all), mineral water, and well Trader Joe's half sugar/half stevia lemonade is pretty good but I don't drink it in quantity.

ANM: I like that lemonade too, other kinds now seem too sweet in comparison. Sometimes they have other varieties too, like pink and mango lemonade.

Well if its garden club Iris, you gotta do the foo foo flavored waters thing. Garden club ladies just love that kind of thing. Just throw some sliced fruit and a few springs of herbs into a jar, and they'll think you are an ARTISTE.

I have one of those jars that FloatOn has links to. I've actually brought it to our farm potluck with dandelion iced tea in it. It was a huge hit, because they usually don't have soda, and most people bring beer and/or wine, so it was a great alternative.

Haha, but this is plant society. Plant society people are hardcore horticulture types, boots in the mud and hybridizing, no frou frou stuff.
