Fire comedy and escalate the war

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/05/09...ployments.html

crazy day in politics. Comedy found out he was fired when he saw it come on the TV. Maybe he found something on Trump?

During the campaign Trump said said we would not get involved in foreign wars, but it comes in handy to deflect from the Russia investigation. His kids/ grandkids won't be going to fight like he did not. But of course protecting the lsanctity of life of the unborn suddenly stops at birth

Well, if you're the head of the FBI, and you have to find out this sort of thing from TV, that tells me you probably aren't the guy for the job anyways...

True. I still laugh at the Archibald Cox (and jughead) comics from my childhood.

Which doesn't exactly sound like an escalation.

None of these characters are likable or trust-able, not Trump, not Comney (way too much influence on policy when he shouldn't there, including ironically probably getting Trump elected). But we're supposed to get hysterical some way or other I suppose. But if this was script, I'm telling it would be FAIL, there are no remotely likable characters. Maybe Trump will appoint someone particularly horrible to replace Comney, and THEN at least there will be a there there to get upset about.

As for wars, my first question would be which one? There are too many, they are endless, and since it's already constantly wars with 7 countries or something, it's hard to tell when one of them is surging or not. Trump condemning Assad and talks of more sanctions on Syria and increasing arming rebel factions there, but now I see it was Afghanistan that was meant.

I recall from the Viet Nam debacle that when you were ready to escalate, you announced you were sending in "advisors." Maybe that's what they mean by the "fog of war."

I find the reasons given for firing Comey self-serving and difficult to believe. It's not about the Clinton server.

I find much of the reaction to firing Comey self-serving and difficult to believe. It's not an existential threat to our democracy.

It's going to be a long four years.

Comey probably cost Clinton the election so not shedding any tears for him. However, if he was getting close to finding something on Trump then that will be a major setback.
