Have any of you heard of this or hiked any part? https://northcountrytrail.org I am going to do a small section in MI. I found it strange that I had never heard of it before.

So weird. We live by Traverse City and I have never heard of this; must be a new appelation or collection of trails. Odd.
On March 5, 1980, Congress passed legislation authorizing the North Country National Scenic Trail, culminating efforts that began even before the National Trails System Act of 1968, which established the Appalachian and Pacific Crest National Scenic Trails (NST’s) as the nation’s first.
Well, I guess it's not a new name! You never hear of it around here but thenI am not a hiker; we have the TART trail and I pay attention to the horse trails, but it looks very interesting.
Oh the TART is on my bike riding list too. That is a great area where you live. My son went to work there in TC, met the beautiful lady now his wife and they moved downstate.
