Sorry I posted this twice--having trouble with the function-- this is my proudest accomplishment this year--daylily grown from seed collected from a bank in northport but does not look like parent.

Tybee, it is very sayisfying to raise a new plant from seed. Congratulations on the launch of your baby!

i dont do seed even though my lily society has a "seed exchange""that encourages us to grow them. I keep telling myself that someday I will do with with Dh's help. He is the seed starter in this house.

Found a few garden photos on my facebook page to share, plus my front porch and TomDog cause he's so old and the perfect ugly porch pup.

Here are some of my own garden. My little piece of paradise is created on a small city lot, in a pretty urban area. I created a cottage feel to make me feel close to nature. I share it with lots of creatures, big and small.
I love the courtyard feel to your garden. That fence is lovely and round rocks!! I love the round rocks!!

We just built this fire pit. $100 for 36 retaining wall blocks. The garden you see is our tomato/cuke/squash garden. Then there's the succulent garden I just started this year.

The birdbath garden needs work. The pump broke, which is why the stones are a bit askew--DH was trying to fix it. Also the birdbath needs to be leveled. But you get the idea. It's nice when it's working!
Your tiny frog pond is so cute and that bench is wonderful!

Float - your home looks like a vacation getaway. I especially like the porch and TomDog. He's adorable.

These were some favorite container plants this year, and the sedum is winter hardy from 2016.
The succulent is amazing., Sedum sieboldii Mediovariegatum. Leaves go plain green in winter, then are beautifully variegated cream and green in summer, and now this in fall.
Plectranthus Mona Lavender won a special place in my heart this summer, bloomed non-stop and never better than now.
