4% of net income. Insurance is low here. My sister in another state just 460 miles away from me pays 5X what we do for everything except health.
~5%...and 2/3 of that is term life insurance because my wife is really up the crick without a paddle if I predecease her. It's cheap to live where no one else wants to because of the severe winters and drive where there are no other cars on the highway. If we ever get single payer healthcare, that will go up to ~40%.
5 years ago we were paying a fourth of our income on health insurance. Then I started working p.t. so it became a 6th before adding in the other insurances.

Just got the email today from our state insurance exchange folks:
"Rates for the health plans certified represent a 24 percent increase over those available through the Exchange for 2017 coverage."
Medicare for all would solve this problem. I am so sick of the politicians not actually fixing the HCI problem.
