Hmm. And I've heard roofers say they prefer steep roofs because you're not bending over so much all the time to place and secure the shingles. I suppose there's an angle of diminishing returns for that.

I've not seen any roofers around here use safety harnesses so I guess the other side of not bending over so much would be the chance of falling off of a steep roof. It's a job I wouldn't want to do either way.Originally Posted by SteveinMN
