Okay today I started looking. The best fits so far are director of child care centers, Even that I would need to take 2 courses in early childhood programs. I looked at some teacher jobs even though I let my license go. Charter schools will still hire, but only one of those jobs in Denver. I found one afterschool director job that paid a LOT less than what I make. It may have less responsibility than I have. I know my district pays the highest and I am probably the highest paid in my position right now with my degree and years of experience. Also most of these jobs are only childcare and not the enrichment and club programs. At least we get paid now for the work load!

There was one that was administrative assistant in the department of human services/early childhood education. The top of the pay range is about $3K less than what I make. I am just making my bills so anything less would have to wait until my lease is up in May and I can find cheaper rent. There is a licensing specialist that pays very well, but is in Alamosa. That again is waiting until I am able to move (but not sure how I feel about leaving the Denver area when I have friends and family and meditation groups, seems like a depression trigger).

So that is where I am at, next task is to look at things like management that are not necessarily in my current field.
