speaking of missed appointments and lock-downs at school

So my last psych appointment was cancelled because the DR was sick. I schedule them well in advance so not a big deal. Mostly the big deal is that I very much look forward to and need that check in even though he is a meds guy and not a talk guy. Yesterday was the new appointment, AND there was a lock out at my school for over 3 hours. I was getting ready to leave when it was called, took me 15 minutes on hold to reach someone at the office and cancel. There had been a robbery and the suspect was armed and on the loose. We also had 3 people killed at a local Walmart a couple weeks ago and an accidental lock down the day after (apparently our school has a panic button and the person who hit it didn't even know). Kinda sucks because the additional stress of the lock-outs, lock-downs, etc. are making it harder to wait for an appointment. I am now scheduled on the 28th and I am not even coming into work before the appointment so I can't get stuck here!
