My brother and I have a somewhat strained relationship. (Turns out religion only strengthens families if everyone drinks the same koolaid) but I honestly enjoy his company.
i have always wanted to know my nieces better, and have never had a chance. But he brought them to my dd’s wedding last year, and we overlapped four hours on visiting my parents this past summer, and now it looks like we will have a day and a half between Christmas and New Years!
Suddenly I am feeling the holiday spirit.
