IL: I think you would like A Christmas Story. It's kind of clever & funny and not really sappy.

There are a couple of others available, as well.

Obviously, the best Christmas movie ever made is Die Hard.

I love Elf. Almost as much as national Lampoons Christmas vacation.

The meaning of christmas is so lost in the gifts, decorations and ridiculous food everywhere it seems fitting to adore the humor. If we ceased to spend on Christmas we could wipe out the national debt.

Elf is the one Will Ferrell movie I actually enjoy. Not a fan of the Christmas Vacation-type movies. My all-time favorite shall ever be White Christmas.

Will have to look into those Krampus flicks. Do not care for Will Ferrell---it must be written into every contract he signs that he gets to reveal himself in tighty whities. Ugh.

My favorite Christmas movie is the original "The Bishop's Wife," with Cary Grant, David Niven and Loretta Young.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!
