    Alex Honnold's simple diet

    Hey all:

I was watching some YouTube videos of Ale Honnold -- the world's greatest rock climber. His climbs are spectacular -- especially since he climbs thousands of feet without rope or any other safeguards.

But I found this video about his meals to be pretty interesting and super simple. He lives in a van as a "dirt bag" rock climber and is meticulous about his food. Though he has a small stove in his van he lives without refrigerating anything.

I spent a day in Rekyjavik watching some of these guys eat, it's insane, even by the 6-8000 calorie a day standard they sometimes feed us too at work.

Whoa! Great links! I am amazed by the sheer quantity. I can put it away at an Indian buffet, but I cannot imagine eating 10,000 calories in a day.
