I just started reading Alas, Babylon! So far it seems like it ought to be a really good read!
It is about a nuclear doomsday.

I liked that one when I read it as a kid.
That sounds like an uplifting topic.

I read it my junior year of high school - 1985-86. I was reading late at night and it scared me. Enjoyed the book, though, and recently read it again.
That book scared me into nightmares. But I was hooked from the beginning.
Yes, so far it really seems like my kind of book!

I read that many years ago, probably 1970's and I can still recall parts of it today. Good book. Being a child during the cold war with Russia, The Cuban Missile Crisis, etc. it was pretty scary for me, but still a good book.
