I remember years ago celebrating the fact that as an adult I can eat whatever I want for breakfast. I like vegetables and often eat them for breakfast. This morning I had leftover cooked cabbage.I dont like sweet stuff in the morning, generally speaking.

As kids we had god awful Cream of Wheat hot cereal or dry ceral. I am not much interested in dry cereal and I cant stand Cream of Wheat. I dislike pancakes in the morning, ugh, all of that heavy carb load and sickly sweet syrup.

The best thng for breakfast for me is an egg cooked in some way with veg like egg and spinach scrambled eggs or poached egg with spinach topping or okra topping and cheese.

Make frittatas (quiches without crusts) and double the vegetables.

I like to make a 9" x 13" pan frittata that makes 6 generous servings. 1 serving for breakfast or lunch most days of the week. Just reheat.

    Eggs
Milk (or unsweetened, unflavoured soy, almond, or cashew milk)
    A bit of flavourful cheese
    Herbs / spices
Meat / poultry / or omit
    Veggies

    Some of my favourite combinations:
    >Ham, brie or swiss cheese, nutmeg, Dijon mustard, pepper, lots of mushrooms and spinach
    >Ham, cheddar, Dijon mustard, broccoli, onion, pepper
    >Nicoise or Kalamata olives, tomatoes, eggplant chunks, potato slices, green beans, anchovies
    >Feta, eggplant, onion, red pepper, tomatoes, olives, basil, oregano
    >Basil, garlic, onions, tomatoes, pine nuts, parmesan
    >Crab, Dijon mustard, red bell peppers, green onions, shallots, small splash Worcestershire sauce

Congratulations! You really seem to be making progress in the changes you're making.
