Anyone watch the recent remakes of All in the Family and the Jeffersons, with Woody Harrelson as Archie and Jamie Foxx as George Jefferson, among other recognizable names. Performed before a live audience. I was rolling on the floor in delight. I imagine it will be re-runned and streamed, as it seems like it was very popular. There was an obvious nostalgia element but I would think it would be entertaining for even the younger crowd as the topics are timeless.

I hope it is the start of a trend! One of the few worthwhile things I've seen on commercial broadcast TV in some time.
    What channels are these on???

ABC. It is not a recurring series, but one time only specials. I'm thinking there will be more later.

I enjoyed those remakes as well. George Jefferson as played by Sherman Hemsley was one of my favorite characters ever. Loved the perfectly remade sets too.

I am watching the HBO tv series called Succession. It is about a business tycoon, getting old and frail, and the battles to take over his company. He has four children and each figures prominently in the show. It is gripping, I love it!

and the theme song is such an ear worm! sometimes
I tune into an episode just to hear the opening theme music.

The dominant piano seems slightly out of tune, it grabs your attention.

We are watching Heartland and Schitts Creek, both of which are Canadian, and both pretty heart-warming.

Yes it is! I read an article by the composer and he wanted it that way. He thinks it sounds more edgy and powerful which of course it does because things not in tune put us on edge.

I gave up on Schitt’s Creek after a few episodes because I haveto be in the right mood for comedy. But I liked it well enough. And now I drop my Netflix subscription so I can’t watch it at the moment. I’ll probably get back to it sometime.

Country Music - A Film by Ken Burns on PBS. 1st episode was on Sunday evening and the 2nd was last night and #3 is on this evening. I'm not a huge country music fan, but I am intrigued by the history of it. A friend posted on Facebook that Ken Burns could read the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and make it fascinating.

I actually dislike country music, but the series really is interesting.
